School of Seven Bells for N.A. Winter tour

Looks like School of Seven Bells will be the opening band on Interpol's North American Winter tour. They're already confirmed for the Salt Lake City, Boulder, and Boston shows.

Radio City pre-sales

The American Express and WRXP pre-sales for the Radio City Music Hall show start tomorrow (Nov. 11th) at 9am eastern. For the regular AE tickets, you just have to use a valid AE card to purchase, no password needed. But for AE preferred seating tickets, you have to enter the 10-digit customer service number or international promotional code on the back of your AE card in the password box.

The WRXP password is 1019RXP.

'Interpol' has debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #7 with 1st week sales of 38,000. In comparison, 'Our Love to Admire' debuted at #4 with 73,000.

Interpol add Paris album launch show

"Couple band members will be in Seattle doing some radio stuff and will be doing a signing on Saturday - weekend before release. See flyer.

Tuesday the 7th, we are doing an outdoor show in LA. we're announcing all the details next Tuesday.

Interpol on Theft of the Dial

"It was our pleasure to welcome Interpol to the Current studios to take over our airwaves for a Theft of the Dial session. I was joined by guitarist Daniel Kessler and drummer Sam Fogarino, who each brought in a few songs and explained them -- their history, their production, or just what makes them good. Vocalist Paul Banks wasn't able to come in (per the band, he was at the hotel sleeping) but he nonetheless made a surprising appearance at one point... Daniel & Sam were great guys, and I get the feeling that if we'd let them, they could have gone on much longer -- as they asked me at one point, "Are you SURE we can only do six songs?" From Downtown Lobby: "Interpol sold out The Greek Theatre within minutes, but don’t worry if you weren’t able to grab some tickets for that show. A second date has been added at The Fox Theater in Pomona on Tuesday, October 19th. A better setting as this venue is much smaller and will give you a great view of the band no matter where you are. Don’t sleep on these tickets when they go on sale this Friday, August 27th at 10am through Ticketmaster."

Caen canceled, Seville delayed

A couple of changes for the upcoming European dates. First, the Sept. 16th show in Caen, France has been removed from the Shows page, and Le Cargo says it is canceled due to the band having "important promotional commitments in England."

Second, U2 has pushed the Sept. 29th show in Seville, Spain back a day to Sept 30th, due to a strike planned for the 29th.

Interpol bonus tracks

We already knew that the iTunes version of 'Interpol' would include a bonus track entitled 'Crimewaves', and now it looks like 'Gavilan' will be the bonus track on the Japanese version. (Thanks @jinxxxx)
