Interpol plays iHeartRadio Theater tonight
Watch the show live here. Check back soon for highlights from the show.
Setlist: Say Hello to the Angels, Evil, NYC, Same Town New Story, Anywhere, Leif Erikson, My Desire, Hands Away, Breaker 1, Length of Love, All the Rage Back Home, Slow Hands.
Encore: Not Even Jail.
"Interpol is set to release their new album El Pintor on September 9th, but the band is also giving fans a taste of their new music with an exclusive show at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City on Friday, September 5th, as part of iHeartRadio Live.
The band is set to perform songs from their brand new album, including their single "All The Rage Back Home," during their intimate iHeartRadio Live show. Fans definitely won't want to miss the band performing their new music live!
El Pintor is the band's fifth studio album and their first one since 2010. The album was produced by Interpol, with Daniel Kessler playing guitar and piano, Samuel Fogarino on drums, and Paul Banks on vocals, guitars, and taking over bass duties for the first time.
Fun fact, the album's title El Pintor is also an anagram for Interpol!
The best part is that no Interpol fan will miss out on the band's exclusive iHeartRadio Live show. Fans can tune in to a live stream on Clear Channel Alt and AAA radio station websites, as well as on iHeartRadio.com at 7 p.m. ET on September 5th.
Don't miss all the rage!"

Interpol's Second Act: Inside the Gloom Kings' Return
New interview at Rolling Stone. Some highlights:
"No one was blindsided when Carlos left," says Banks. "Marriages end, you know? It's a miracle that we did more than two records."
Banks hasn't stayed in touch with Dengler, but he says there's no bad blood between them. Sam Fogarino, Interpol's longtime drummer, is less diplomatic. "Carlos had very narcissistic tendencies," Fogarino says over the phone a few days later. "It got to the point where he was dismissive of the notion of a rock band. All of a sudden, he had no respect for something that we still love. That's kind of hard to swallow."
Paul: "As the Lord above has ordained it, everyone is now upon my dick!"
Adds Banks, "It was like, 'Wow, fuck, there's new creative DNA here, and the molecule is sustaining.' We're new beasts now, and we're thriving."
This thought leads him off on a tangent about Splice, the 2009 sci-fi film starring Adrien Brody: "Ever seen that? Crazy movie, man – they make an alien, then he bangs it. Sorry – spoiler. But I would compare this album to that."
Kessler laughs and shakes his head. "If that doesn't sell," says the guitarist, "I don't know what will."
